I absolutely love this song “Ho Hey” by The Lumineers. It’s special to be because my grandfather used to call my Mimi his sweetheart so every time I sing it I think of them. I hope you like my simple acoustic cover of it!

“…I belong with you, you belong with me, you’re my sweetheart…”

When it comes to my skin sometimes I can be a bit obsessive, especially when it comes to my face. I am that girl that can’t sleep in her makeup and has to wash her face every night, or else I will go crazy… I have a fear of wrinkles and pimples. (but who doesn’t, right?!) One thing that I have started doing for about the last 4 months is a sugar scrub almost every night before bed. I know what you may be thinking- What am I going to have to buy? How many random things are in a “sugar scrub”? or Is this going to cost me money that I don’t have (cause I am broke)? These are some of the questions I ask myself when I read a Pinterest post or blog post on beauty, cause half the time I truly don’t know what is in it nor do I have the money to go buy all the supplies. That is why I love this particular scrub, because it really is only sugar. Nothing more, nothing less. Some of you can walk to your pantry and have one of the best natural skin buffers, without paying a ton of money! The sugar is grainy, yet gentle enough to get rid of dry skin and leave your face super soft. I keep a little mason jar of sugar by my sink so after I take my makeup off and my face is still wet I can reach in the jar, get some sugar, and scrub it in a circular motion all over my face. After I do this I pat my face dry and viola! All done!

Finally, I have my blog up and running. A huge thank you to my dear friend, Taylor Thompson, who helped show me all the nooks and crannies of WordPress! She has been a consistent blogger for a few years now and has an awesome blog, “A Pearl Kind Of Girl”. I really encourage everyone to go check it out and follow her page; she rocks!
